With the recent acquisition of Porterbuddy, the fast-growing Norwegian shipping service, Instabox will now combine best-in-class locker deliveries with Porterbuddy’s innovative technology and approach to home deliveries in all markets - including high growth in the Norwegian region. With that in mind, we’re now looking for an Operations Manager who wants to take on the responsibility for the Norwegian market.

About the role

Our Operations Manager will support our growth in the Norwegian market. As an Operations Manager, you are responsible for the quality and development of all our operations in Norway. This includes monitoring and developing existing processes, ensuring high quality, supporting new growth initiatives, analyzing efficiency, and improving productivity in the terminal and with our partners. You will be responsible for leading teams within the Terminal, Customer Service, Linehaul/Pickup, Last Mile and Routing, focusing on quality assurance, optimization, and expansion.

In this role your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

• Be responsible for all operational logistics

• Assist with sales to larger retail and logistics partners

• Management and personnel responsibility for the operations team

• Lead the development of this function, strategy and operational collaboration with our sites

• Establish a process for all basic functions, adapting the overall guidelines from Global and HQ, but tailoring it to local markets

• Budget responsibility for all operational costs in the Norwegian market

• Have close collaboration with other functions, especially commercial, product/tech and the management team in Norway

About you

We believe that you are analytical, business savvy, confident, pragmatic, and likable. You will need a burning desire to combine your strong personal traits with a will to change the e-commerce industry for the better. In addition, you have the ability to thrive in a complex growth environment and have great cooperation skills, both internal and external. We are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who can switch between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a relevant field (i.e. Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, Supply chain etc.)

• 5+ years of experience in operations and management and/or consulting, where previous experience from a similar role is of merit

• Experience in a fast paced industry and/or tech company

• Data-driven and analytical

• Detail oriented and very organized

• Passionate about coaching people and providing an excellent service

• Good commercial understanding and high work capacity - "gets things done"

• Excellent Norwegian and English communication skills (written and spoken)
